The Jacquemet Group – a unique story

Le Groupe Jacquemet

Louis Jacquemet founded the firm to which he gave his name in 1926. It started out by manufacturing wooden, then aluminium knitting needles.

The wire working business started in the 60s from aluminium processing and took over as the main line of business with the demise of the wool industry in the 80s. The buy-outs of Manuram in 1995 and Raynaud in 2001, contributed to sealing Jacquemet's future as a specialist metal wire parts maker and spring manufacturer.

The family business finally developed taking a tortuous route to become the Jacquemet Group that now employs 100 people.
